I SPY Spooky Mansion Deluxe is an aging puzzle game that still keeps some charm alive thanks to its presentation and voice acting. In the game, you are trapped inside a spooky house and have to find a way to escape.

Full of nice puzzles

I SPY Spooky Mansion Deluxe is a hidden object game in which you have to find clues and solve puzzles to get out of a haunted house. You’re trapped there and the only way to escape is to solve some puzzles to get the pieces of a main puzzle that once solved, grants you freedom.

There are several pieces to that master puzzle and to get each one, you will have to play a series of mini-games. The most notable of them being the hidden object kind. In those, a cute voice tells a riddle of sorts and using keywords from that riddle you have to identify the objects that are well-hidden inside a scene.

It’s not that complicated to figure out what you have to find but to spot where it is, is. Moreover, some of the clues can be a bit abstract, for example, finding ‘houl’ you’d think a wolf would be a solution when, in fact, it’s the word ‘houl’ written with branches in a tree.

One of the good things about I SPY Spooky Mansion Deluxe is the narrator’s voice. It’s contradictory to the mood of the game. The house is full of strange things, but the voice that guides you seems childish, and sweet, which in turn makes it creepier.

It’s not a scary game. At most, it will probably make you frown a bit at the sights of lizards, snakes, skeletons, and other things like that. Then again, that opinion changes with age, meaning that for a child, this game can be a bit spooky.

I SPY Spooky Mansion Deluxe is a very relaxing game to play. For those who like hidden object games or like to engage in a bit of riddle solving, this one is a nice choice.
