It was even better the second time I read it. Greenwald provides a simple, intuitive method for helping such “front-line strategists” seek out a competitive edge. He clearly explains a lot of concepts with real world examples. Researching a company you know nothing about- cracking open a fresh K – can be overwhelming.

It provides a straightfoward framework to analyse and understand the greennwald of a business, the existence of barriers to entry and the sustainability of these barriers when identified that barriers currently exist. This book will help your decision-making in this regard.
The book describes the different dimensions that identify the market conditions and the probable competition with other companies. Each author name for a Columbia Business School faculty member is linked to a faculty greenwalv page, which lists additional publications by that faculty member.
In the earlier part of the book, he mentioned how competition is local.

Greenwald convincingly argues that one of those forces is by far the most important: Proprietary technology protected by patents is a strong advantage, but with a deadline.
